Andy Vitale is VP, Head of Product Design at Taxwell, where he leads design across TaxAct and Drake Software, products that support tens of millions of tax returns each year for more than 90,000 tax professionals and 3 million DIY filers.
With a career built at the intersection of AI and product design, Andy has led work across healthcare, financial services, and technology, building products where design decisions had clinical consequences at 3M, advancing conversational AI and sales intelligence at Rocket Companies, and reimagining AI-driven marketing capabilities at Constant Contact. His focus is making products more intelligent and teams more capable, turning design into a measurable business advantage.
Previously, Andy served as Chief Design Officer at Constant Contact, EVP of Design at Rocket Companies, where he helped evolve the company from a mortgage lender into a broader financial services platform with his team's work contributing billions in closed loan volume, and GVP, Head of Design at Truist, helping navigate one of the largest banking mergers since the 2008 financial crisis. He has built a reputation for creating environments where teams are challenged and inspired to do the best work of their careers.
Sought out as a voice on design, AI, and leadership, Andy has spoken at well over 100 industry and corporate events worldwide, including SXSW, Adobe MAX, SAP, and the Federal Reserve Bank. He holds a Master's in UX Design from Kent State University, where he is also an adjunct instructor, and is a Founding Member of the Design Executive Council.
