Cindy Chastain is a seasoned transformation leader at the intersection of customer experience, product innovation, brand, and business. 

Hired as a change agent to build Mastercard’s experience design capability in context of a digital transformation, Cindy grew design into a strategic function that increased adoption, use, and customer uptake for product lines spanning credit, debit, digital payments, small business, commercial payments, and cyber & intelligence. She established new standards for product innovation and GenAI, pioneered a suite of CX metrics, improved experience quality at scale, and built a thriving culture of continuous learning for over 400 multi-disciplinary practitioners. Cindy also had the honor of leading the successful relaunch of the Mastercard brand identity, which led to measurable shifts in customer and consumer perceptions, globally. 

Prior to Mastercard, Cindy was an Executive Creative Director and CX consultant in the business transformation group at R/GA. She partnered with Nike to revolutionize the seasonal product development and GTM tooling. With Volvo, she led the digital strategy for reinventing the car owner’s journey. Other clients in her career include HP, Verizon, Walmart, GSK, BBC Worldwide, Showtime, Coca-Cola, Unilever, and HSBC. 

Cindy also serves on the board of Global Nomads, a non-profit bridging cultural divides for young people in over 60 countries.  Based in New York City, she is actively seeking her next transformation challenge and attempting to re-learn the guitar.
