Christina Vallery

Christina  Vallery is a design executive with over two decades of experience across global enterprise product design, she has experience building global design teams, design studios, and design systems and has spearheaded innovation practices, leading by example as an active and patented inventor.

Christina’s role as Chief Design  Officer of The Cigna Group -- a global health company that includes  Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services -- is structured to focus on the arrival of transformation in health  experience and the active acceleration of innovation in care  availability towards the goal of impacting public health and personal  health outcomes. Christina has modeled her organization to influence and empower her enterprise, but she spends her time structuring strategy based on foresight, with teams focused on design  and experience innovation, the influence of modeled architecture on  content and design systems, and applied intelligence that structures experience around advanced learning and predictive  analytics.

Prior to her current role, she spent nearly a decade as a design leader at PayPal, and prior to that, at a handful of start-ups  that were mainly in the Austin area. Christina recently relocated her family to an island in the calm waters of the Salish Sea, where she’s learning to fight wild PNW brambles in service of cultivating a small farm and orchard.
