DXC Expands to Seattle: Uniting Design Leadership in the Pacific Northwest

Design Executive Council (DXC), the premier membership network for corporate design executives, announced its expansion to Seattle, a vibrant hub for Fortune 1000 design leadership in technology, retail, e-commerce, and aerospace. This launch builds on DXC’s mission to connect senior design leaders in key markets and marks its third regional expansion.

Seattle is home to some of the world’s most influential companies and design executives driving innovation across diverse industries. Founding members in the region include Chief Design Officers, VPs of Design, and board members with experience leading organizations at Amazon, Boeing, Cigna Health Group, Microsoft, Nordstrom, Oracle, SiriusXM Pandora, Starbucks, Workday, and more.

Founding Members of DXC Seattle: Jeff Gelfuso, Kaaren Hanson, Christina Vallery, Matthew Holloway, Jyoti Shukla, Gordon Ching, Jennifer Darmour

“Our mission is to advance corporate design leadership by fostering a connected community, producing cutting-edge research, creating impactful media, and delivering vital business intelligence to executives shaping the future of business and design,” said Gordon Ching, DXC Founder & CEO. “Seattle’s legacy of innovation across aerospace, tech, and retail—home to companies like Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon, Nordstrom, and Starbucks—has made it a hub for strategic design leadership. Expanding to Seattle allows DXC to engage with visionary leaders driving design’s impact on business and society. We’re honored to welcome this esteemed group of executives to further our mission.”

Matthew Holloway, DXC Board Advisor and Founding Member, shares, Seattle is second only to Silicon Valley; it’s long been at the epicenter of design and innovation. Being a part of DXC since its founding, it’s important to me for DXC to celebrate Seattle’s role in design and the impact its design leaders are having globally.”

Founding members convened at an inaugural dinner on November 7th, 2024 to foster relationships and expand the vision for the Seattle chapter. The event set the stage for DXC’s programming in the region, which will include tailored in-person events, sector focused research initiatives, and opportunities to address the unique challenges and opportunities facing companies and design leaders in the region.
